Mini Starz
The Lil Starz is comprised of children in grades 1st to 3rd. This team is great for children who are just beginning to have an interest in cheerleading. At this level, cheerleaders will learn the basics and fundamentals of motion, cheer, dance, jumps, and even stunts. Cheerleaders will be taught how to do rolls, cartwheels, front & back walkovers. All Cheerleaders are required to attend tumbling classes.
Junior Starz
The Junior Starz is comprised of children in grades up to 5th. This team performs at an intermediate level. At this level, cheerleaders will continue develop their cheer, dance, and motion skills. Cheerleaders will be expected to perform medium level jumps and stunts. Cheerleaders should know how to cartwheel, round off, and forward roll. All Cheerleaders are required to attend tumbling classes.
Senior Starz
The Senior Starz is comprised of children in grades up to 12 (senior in high school). This team performs at an advanced level. At this level, cheerleaders should have extensive knowledge of cheer, dance, and motion skills. Cheerleaders will be expected to perform advanced level jumps and stunts. Cheerleaders must know how to cartwheel, round off, & forward roll, they must be willing to or currently learning how to front / back walkover, standing back handspring, and round off back handspring, tucks, layouts etc. All Cheerleaders will are required to attend tumbling classes.
Please note: Cheerleaders who demonstrate exemplary skills may be moved to a higher level team regardless of age!
Please also note: The goal every season is to be successful regardless of which team level wins awards. If one team receives and award - the whole organization is awarded! In some cases we will only have a Mini and Senior team or only a Mini and Junior team....it all depends on the sign up and commitment rate.
